First Aid is the initial care of the sick or injured, until more advanced care can be provided. The aims of First Aid are to preserve life, protect the unconscious, prevent the condition from worsening, and promote recovery, to ensure a safe environment and to give reassurance to the sick or injured. Our aim is for students to gain the confidence and skills to undertake the initial management of injuries and illnesses occurring within the workplace, home, recreational and remote settings.
