The CoST revalidation course is designed for seafarers who do not hold the qualifying sea service (3months within the past 6months OR 12months within the past 5years) and therefore need to undertake the Personal Survival Techniques, Basic Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention training in order to demonstrate continued competence.

On successful completion of the Certificate of Safety Training (CoST) Revalidation course, a document will be issued certifying the holder has met the requirements for the revalidation of Certificate of Safety training as specified by the STCW Convention and Code, as per the Manila 2010 amendments.
Minimum age requirement is 16 years.
Assessment will include written tests and practical demonstration of skills.
